About The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games is a gripping survival story and a thought-provoking critique of our society—its politics, class divisions, media culture, and violence. In a future, totalitarian America, the rebellious districts must send their teens to take part in televised games. Katniss volunteers to take her sister’s place in to-the-death competition.

What would you do to survive or to save someone you love? What risks would you take for freedom? The Hunger Games will inspire readers to consider these unsettling questions.
